Katie Smith hooked up with the floppy-haired lothario when the pair were battling for fame in the early stages of the X Factor in 2010.
They got together at the boot camp stage of the ITV talent show and saw each other for a couple of weeks.
But Katie failed to make it to the live finals - while Harry was put with four other lads to form One Direction.
A source said: “Katie can claim to have had Harry’s eye before he was famous.
“He was smitten with her for ages and they used to flirt all the time on the show.”
The source added: “The Xtra Factor even picked up on it and arranged a date for them.
“It was a puppy love thing but was destined to end abruptly as she didn’t make it to the live shows.
“Who knows, maybe he will watch the show on Saturday and feel an urge to give her a call?”
But Harry will have some competition if he does fancy a rematch.
That’s because Katie appears on the BBC1 series with her new boyfriend - a curly-haired lad called Harry. Hmm.
The pair perform a duet on the show in a bid to persuade judges Jessie J, Tom Jones, Danny O’Donoghue and Will.i.am to turn their chairs.
They do a version of the track Candy by Scottish singer Paolo Nutini.
Several former X Factor rejects have once again auditioned for The Voice - but this year audience members have been BOOING them.
Some former pop stars have also tried out for the show - including Cleo Higgins from girl band Cleopatra, and Danny Foster from Hear’say, who were the victors on Popstars back in 2001.
Last weekend one-time pop pin-up Kavana - he of I Can Make You Feel Good and MFEO fame - failed to impress the coaches and was sent packing.
